SS TON KEIRON POLLARD ORIGINAL PLAYER BAT - REVIEW

In this video, Amar Shah from CricMax reviews the latest original player bats from SS. SS Ton KP55 Original player bat is used by ex west Indies skipper and power-hitter Keiren Pollard. Amar reviews three SS bats in total in great detail.

Let’s quickly get to the review:

SS TON Kieron Pollard Original Player bat

SS Ton KP55 is made from the highest quality grade 1+ English willow that is specially reserved for International Player’s cricket bats. The bats are really bulky, containing a lot of concentrated willow in them. The bat has a regular-sized blade with 13 straight and even grains having an edge thickness of 40mm, which is the highest allowed edge thickness for any bat. They have a complete face profile with an unfinished duckbill toe having a spine height of 65 - 66mm. This greater spine height allows the bat maximum shock absorption while hitting the ball with full power. The unfinished toe is the signature feature of SS original player bats, which you see in KP55 too.

Handle and Pick up

The bats have semi-oval handles with a mid-swell position to ensure a massive amount of power for the batsman. These bats weigh about 1160 - 1190 gms but are incredibly light in the pickup, making them easier to swing.

Sweet Spot and Ping

SS Ton Keiron Pollard's original player bat has a mid to low profile, meaning that the sweet spot also lies in the lower middle. This enables power hitters like Kieron pollard to play those lofted shots with minimum effort. The ping is highly consistent with both white and red balls. The ball immediately takes off as soon as it touches the bat showing the extremely high quality of the willow used to make these bats.

.

Amar unboxes three high-quality SS Kieron Pollard original player bats in this video, all similar in profile and length. They differ slightly in their weight and grain count. This difference is because of willow used to make these bats is from other clefts of wood. The rest, from performance to dimensions, is almost similar.
