This is a cheap white cricket ball...Not even $150 Kookaburras keep their shine for ling. Thats always been that bad thing about white balls. As for the seam splitting, that could just be bad luck...What happens to an egg when you smash it with a Hammer? Thats right, it breaks...All cricket balls will break eventually as well. Get over it bud.

Good swing at indoor nets, but doesn't last
We used these balls for our indoor practice sessions (cement wickets with mat on top of it). We had a 2 hour session. Pro: The balls were swinging when they were new. Maintained the shape and decent enough shine during our practice session. Con: The seam on the balls went soft. One of the balls actually started to split open near the seam. Overall: Don't think we will buy these balls again, since the seam became very soft and one of the balls started to split open.
